PayPal Joins Netflix In Fight Against VPNs

PayPal has joined Netflix in their war against VPNs. PayPal has begun to cut off support for transactions that pay VPN providers. VPNs enable users to alter the location of their IP address and provide them more protection from the government. This is significant for streaming services such as Netflix because it allows users to access information that may not be available in certain countries, ruining deals with content providers. One way this can hurt VPNs however, is that customers cannot use PayPal to pay to use VPNs for legitimate reasons. In the end, this is a win for Netflix.
