LiFi is a category of Visible Light Communication; an LED light flickers at speeds undetectable to the naked eye to transmit data that can transmit data up to 100 times faster than traditional Wi-Fi.
With Li-FI scientists transmitted information at 224 gigabits per second. LiFi can be charged by solar power or a standard Ethernet cord and creates no electro-magnetic interference.
Drawbacks for LiFi include trouble in bright light and the inability to pass through walls. However, these drawbacks make LiFi more secure and it can be installed anywhere users may want light and data services simultaneously.
